8/8/2023 0 Comments Lily pad platypus pokemonThe once small lotad has at last become a ludicolo. Its mouth extends and develops into a duck beak, and the lily pad on its head grows as well, developing spikes along its edge. Upon being exposed to a water stone, the lombre grows taller and its body becomes covered in a yellowish fur. Lombre are often mistaken for a human child, and its touch is said to be horribly unpleasant. It is believed that this creature may have been the inspiration for the kappa, although the kappa is much more nefarious. Its pranks are meant to be playful (like pulling on a fisherman's line to make the angler think he's caught a bite only to pop out and frighten the angler, for example). This form is known as a lombre, and upon reaching this stage it develops a penchant for mischievousness. When about a decade passes, the lotad develops a humanoid body whose torso and face is a light teal while its legs and markings on its body are a similar green color to its lily pad, which it retains from its previous lotad form. Because of the size of the lily pad and how it allows the lotad to float on water, they will sometimes ferry smaller creatures across its habitat. However, despite the lilypad's weight, it way wander on land in search of clean water if necessary, as the lilypad will wilt if the lotad becomes dehydrated. Lotad's lily pad is too heavy to allow it to live on land, so they typically live in ponds and lakes. These small blue creatures sport a large lily pad growing from their head and has six stubby feet. Despite being first discovered found in a tropical island, they are not found naturally in Alola, but are also, strangely enough, found in the much colder Sinnoh region under certain conditions.Ī Ludicolo first starts out as a lotad. Ludicolo were first discovered in the wetlands of the Hoenn region, along with their lotad and lombre young. Some Ludicolo are known to have darker yellow fur with teal skin instead of green. It has thick green legs with a black circle on the underside of its feet. It has large, green hands with two black lines on its palms. The female has thinner stripes than the male. Its body is covered with shaggy yellow fur and has several zigzagging brown stripes. It has black eyes surrounded by a patch of green and an orange bill. Growing out of the top of its head is a short brown stem with a yellow spiky upper portion. There is a green, sombrero-like growth on its head that is similar to a lily pad. Ludicolo is a bipedal Pokémon that appears to be a mixture of a pineapple and a duck.
